Why have a live painter at your event?
Live Event painting is a unique service for weddings and events where an artist creates a painting from start to finish on-site throughout the event. Not only does this service produce a beautiful work of art for the client or couple to keep, it provides an enchanting form of entertainment for guests to behold!
What is Live Wedding & Event Painting?
Booking Jules as your Maui live wedding painter is easy, simply fill out the inquiry form and Jules will set up a discovery call to hear your vision and create an accurate quote for her services. Once booked, communication will continue to nail down the details of your painting. If you are unsure of what you want, Jules has many suggestions and ideas so we can create a vision together!
Whether you book a painting for the wedding ceremony or reception, or other special event, Jules will be present as an onsite artist capturing the chosen scene. Timing is based on the length of the event but each package will include 5+ hrs of painting, including the duration of your event. Jules may show up a few hours early (venue permitting) to start painting to ensure the painting is finished. The goal is to have a finished painting for the client by the end of the night!
It is not uncommon for Jules to bring the painting home to her studio for finishing touches, to be delivered to the client at a later time (shipping will be included in all quotes!).
Jules has a simple, clean set up including a travel easel, small table, glass jar for cleaning brushes, paints, brushes, canvas, painter's light to see by, and a small basket for extra supplies. Only the highest quality professional acrylic paints, brushes and canvases are used to ensure long lasting, museum quality, beautiful artwork.
Shipping of your artwork back to your home address will be included in the price. I want to eliminate any extra stress for my clients, so there is no need to figure out how to safely get your painting home!

Although no two paintings are ever the same, each painter has his or her own unique style. Jules' style is considered expressionistic. She creates a realistic representation of the scene using painterly expressionism. Jules paints her figures to proportion, and delights in the details from your dress to your florals! She will create a live wedding painting that beautifully represents Hawai'i.

Let's not forget that you are hiring a Live Wedding Painter not only for the painting, but for the entertainment! Jules may be sweet, but she is not shy. You will find Jules' personality to be kind, professional, approachable, with a tendency to get jiggy with it while she paints!
Having grown up on stage in dance recitals and as a current performing musician, she is not afraid of a little attention, in fact, she loves meeting new people, striking up conversation, laughing, and answering people's questions while she works!
Availability
Calendar availability is probably one of the first and most obvious considerations when choosing a Live Wedding Painter. The best way to secure your date is to fill out my inquiry form found on my contact page.
If I am unavailable on your wedding or event date, I am able to offer Wedding Painting commissions, where I will work from a professional photo reference of your desired scene.
Live wedding painting is a highly personalized experience, which means that there is no 'one shoe fits all' for every wedding or event! That being said, pricing varies for each couple's unique vision and needs based on painting size, the scene painted, how many people are included in the painting, and travel time to your event. With each inquiring couple/client, Jules will book a Discovery Call to learn all of your live painting wishes and event details, after which she can provide a more accurate quote for her services.
The cost to hire Jules as your live painter starts at $1,700 for an 18x24in acrylic painting.
