Every event is unique and the time it takes to complete the painting is also dependent on the client's requests, however the goal is to complete the artwork in the duration of your event. That may require me to set up a few hours ahead of the start time. I will often take the painting back to my studio for finishing touches and deliver it back to you or ship it if that is required.

Yes! Figuring out how to get a big piece of art home from the islands can be stressful and expensive. To make my clients' experiences as stress free as possible, I will handle the packaging and shipping. If you are a local Maui resident I can personally drop off your piece. After your event, I bring your painting home to my studio from touch ups and glazing. Please allow a few weeks for this process and an additional few weeks for shipping and handling. I will always be in touch about the final painting and shipping.

I will bring all of my own gear including a simple set up with my easel, paints, brushes, and a light to see by, as well as a tripod for filming the process. From the venue I will just need a place to set up with a view of the scene you’d like painted. I do not take up more than about 5ft x 5ft. In addition, Having access to water and a sink to clean my brushes as well as an electrical outlet to plug in my light will be necessary. If by chance there is weather at an outdoor venue, I will need coverage like an umbrella or awning, or a space to paint inside.

Of course! My base rate includes just the bride and the groom (and any pets!). Important people can be added in as well. I can include up to 10 additional people at $100 each. This can be disced in more detail during our discovery call!

Once you submit my Live Wedding Painting Inquiry form, I will be in touch to set up a Discovery Call with you. In this call we will discuss your vision for your painting and I can answer any additional questions. From here I will create a proposal for you based on your painting needs (Canvas size, scene and people included, any travel requirements). Once you have approved the proposal I will send out a contract and an invoice for my retainer fee. This will be 30% of the total and goes toward the full payment. Please note, your date is not secured until the contract is signed by both parties and the retainer fee has been paid.

I use the highest quality materials to create your artwork. All of my materials are archival and museum quality so that your painting will last for generations as an heirloom. I use acrylic paints like Golden artist acrylic paints on stretched canvas.

Yes, yes, and yes! I will gladly travel to your destination to provide my services for your wedding or event. If your location is 1.5 hrs from my Maui residence, I just ask that you cover the travel fees (accommodations, flights, & rental car if needed) and an added Travel Stipend of $1000. This additional stipend covers the time I am taking to travel to your event, food, gas, and unexpected travel expenses. To keep travel simple and worry free for the client, I will research the most reasonable flights and lodging prices, make the bookings myself, and request the amount as a lump sum from the client to cover the costs. This will be invoiced once appropriate lodgings and airfare have been researched, and after your contract has been signed and my retainer fee has been paid.
